A newly formed group of Russian-Americans joined NYC's annual Gay Pride Parade, June 24,2007. Their counterparts in Russia have faced physical attacks from skinheads, ostracism and opposition from the Russian Orthodox Church & non-recognition of their right to assemble by Russian Governmental officials. Hopefully, this small group of free LGBT Americans will keep hope for progress alive in Russia.
