Trailer: On this episode of the Longines Chronoscope with Frank Knight, the special guest was Jay Bracken-Lee, the Governor of Utah. Bracken-Lee was on this episode to assess the feasibility of balancing the federal budget.Bracken-Lee began to balance the budget in his state by using his veto power to deny a lot of unnecessary spending. He also reduced the number of employees in the government offices. The biggest opposition he has seen is in the school corporations. They have been denied the ability to grow at the same rate they were hoping. However, the money saved in the government went to building new schools and renovations. In order to balance the federal budget, the federal government should turn their taxation powers over to the individual states. The federal government will assess each state’s taxes.
