William F. Benton, the U.S. Senator from Connecticut, was the special guest on this episode of the Longines Chronoscope with Frank Knight. Benton tries to support the president; however, there are certain aspects of the president’s policy that he cannot agree with. It is estimated that this year’s expenditures will exceed the budget by billions. Benton is also calling on the federal government to create federal legislation to improve civil rights and punish offenders. Communists all over the world are picking up on the lack of civil rights in the U.S. and using it as a propaganda material to tarnish democracy and promote communism. European businesses are trying to wipe our competition and merge to secure themselves and fix prices. This money will hopefully start to get rid of communist labor unions and monopoly business.
