World War II is still going strong. People left at home are doing all they can to help. In order to raise funds for a war bond drive, the owner of a department store hires an elf to help Santa in the toy department. He doesn't count on that elf 'helping' with his life as well. Can he set aside his fears about his family and open his heart to her, or will past mistakes come back to haunt him?
