Roy Rogers was known as The King of the Cowboys for a reason: his films always delighted audiences around the country. In Nevada City, Rogers teams up once again with the underrated George “Gabby” Hayes, this time as stagecoach drivers. Their boss doesn’t get along with the railroad company tycoon who competes with him, and Roy and Gabby try to make the men come together peaceably. This flies back in their faces, further igniting the rivalry. When vicious raids start terrorizing both the stagecoach and railway businesses, the two businessmen put aside their differences and get the help of Rogers and Gabby to fight the outlaws ruining their business. Roy Rogers was always a thinking man’s cowboy, and his clever tact is ever employed to perfection in Nevada City.
