The CORCAS delegation, on a visit to Washington, met with the Moroccan American community. The delegation was headed by its president Khalihenna Ould Errachid.

He delivered an address in which he introduced the mission of the council and answered questions from the audience. He stressed that his council represents a new Morocco, which is committed to human rights, reconciliation and representation of its citizen. It was in the very same spirits that the Council was set up by his Morocco's King Mohammed VI as an initiative to pursue a just, all-inclusive, conciliatory solution to the what seemed before as an intractable Sahara problem.
