Based on the inspiration of Sun Myung Moon a sea going experiential religious educational program was initiated in the summer of 1981. The following film documents the experience of the participants. This film was directed by Lee Shapiro a young film maker who was killed in Afghanistan. In the fall of 1987, cinematographer Lee Shapiro was working with filmmaker James Lindelof on a film about political unrest in Afghanistan when they were caught in the middle of an ambush; both men lost their lives in the attack.
