I find that race discrimination in New York City is far more common than one would think. New York City is a perceived progressive environment. However, it's a collision of a variety of different people from all over the world. And what people don't realize is that race discrimination is not just a white or Caucasian person discriminating against a Black or a person of color. It could be a Puerto Rican person discriminating against a person from Jamaica solely because they are from Jamaica. So I find that more and more of my race discrimination cases are not your typical case where there is a Caucasian or white person discriminating against a person of color; but it's more hybrid scenario, and that's because there are so many different people colliding in New York from all different parts of the world. My name is Walker Harmon. I'm the managing attorney of The Harmon Firm. If you believe you have been the victim of illegal employment discrimination, we are eager to speak with you.
