We accept when a product is especially good at one thing but poor at another. In most situations it makes perfect sense. When it come to choosing a vehicle, if I want a large seating capacity I don't mind lower gas milege. If I wanted a more powerful computer I understand it's not going to fit in the palm of my hand.
We've got to apply that same understanding to the people we work with. We can't expect people to be "well rounded" as that would distract them from being eccpetional in their own right. Help each person to find their sweet spot and then let them swing for the fences. That's the point right?
