Arosa, Davos and St. Moritz are some of the resounding names in the tourism industry. They are all situated in Grisons, which is the largest holiday region in Switzerland. With a population of approximately 35,000, it is also the capital of the holiday canton of Grisons. Chur is also the only Swiss city with its own summer and winter sports region called Brambruesch, which lies 1,100 to 2,176 metres above sea level. The local mountain Dreibuendenstein is reachable by gondola straight from the historical part of the city.
