At least 55 people were injured after Egyptian police clashed with peace campaigners trying to take a convoy of relief supplies to Palestinians in Gaza.

The organisers of the convoy want all the supplies to enter Gaza via the Egyptian-controlled Rafah border crossing.
International campaigners, including an 85-year-old holocaust survivor, have held protests in Egypt since late December to mark the first anniversary of Israel's 22 day attack on Gaza, in which over 1,000 Palestinians died.
