That higher octave is not easy, is it? What's more challenging is transitioning back and forth between the octaves. Most of this is basic, warm notes. Which feels right to me at this point. I "borrowed" a few of these notes from an instruction manual (yes, I finally found one!) on a wonderful site recommended to me by İnci, a site called Ney Yapım Merkezi. This is a kız ney, by the way. Neglected to say that before. The next time I'm in Turkey, I'd like to get my hands on a mansur ney.
