The film talks about homosexuality without any direct reference to it, by creating a fantasy world where left handedness is considered an unacceptable behavior, as an analogy. Diversity is part of nature. how can one decide what is unnatural or acceptably normal. It calls for an open and sensitive mind to fully understand the uniqueness of every individual. So that no one has to go through the kind of trials the protagonist of the film has to go though for self acceptance.
