Gilgit-Baltistan, Aug 16: The anger and resentment continue in Gilgit-Baltistan against the excesses committed by Pakistani security forces and exploitation of resources of the region by the federal government. In Gilgit, hundreds of people hit the streets to oppose the 46 billion us dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project and accused Islamabad of exploiting resources of their region for economic interests. The people of Gilgit, who are the real stakeholders, are angry as they were not consulted.
