A true love story abridged from a book, dubbed from the original Japanese production. Set in the Japanese countryside at the turn of last century, this video introduces us to Nakano who works on the railway and his fiance Fujiko who is struck down with TB shortly after their engagement. They are both Christians: and Nakano promises faithfully to Fujiko that he will marry her as soon as she has recovered.
