USC’s spring game is this Saturday and may answer questions about who will line up behind center for the Trojans in 2008. Some are calling the USC quarterback race about even but red shirt junior Mark Sanchez has the inside track as USC’s starting quarterback in 2008 over sophomore Arkansas Razorback transfer Mitch Mustain. Sanchez has experience with 3 years in the offensive system. USC’s offensive coordinator Steve Sarkissian compares Sanchez with Heisman Trophy USC quarterback Carson Palmer. Sanchez has a rifle arm and throws well on the run. USC is loaded in the running back position with the return of Joe McKnight, CJ Gable and Stafon Johnson at tailback and fullback Stan Havili.
