Ten of Thousands of citizens in Istanbul went out for a protest rally against the Israeli air raid over the Gaza Strip
The rally started from Galatasaray high school and passed through the Istiklal Boulevard. The police tried to stop the protesters at the building of the French embassy and to prevent them from reaching the Taksim square. However, the protesters had destroyed and overcome the barricades, pushed away the police and reached to the square.
Some of the organizers of the rally are the IHH, Özgür Der and Mazlum Der NGOs.
The protesters shouted slogans against the Israeli raid and waved Palestinian flags.
After making a statement the protesters had gone away peacefully, without incidents, the newspaper informs.
