Heval is a group of likeminded musicians from around the globe, living in Sydney Australia, creating a modern blend from Kurdish, Traditional, Jazz, Fusion & Funk influences. Their music is truly World Music HEVAL is the Kurdish word for friends HEVAL met in Western Sydney in 2002. While we play for pleasure and an audience, we would also wish that Heval widens appreciation of Kurdish music in Australia and helps in the recognition of the contribution to this country (and the world) of Kurdish culture and people. Most Kurds in Australia are refugees.
