Chief Executive Officer, Alliance to Make US Healthiest
This session will be about the Alliance to Make US Healthiest, a collaborative initiative begun by CDC, ASTHO and NACCHO. The Alliance is an independent, multi-sectoral initiative developed to build a sustainable social movement for a higher performing health system and changes beyond the health sector itself. The Alliance follows three specific routes to making the U.S. the healthiest nation:
1) Change the debate from a focus on âhealthcareâ to a more proactive, prevention-focused national discussion on âhealth.â 2) Change how we define a successful system. 3) Engage the users of the system where they live, work, shop and play, providing specific actions that they can take immediately to create their healthiest environment.
