Louis Jordan was a jump jazz musician and Godfather of rhythm & blues. This singer/sax man was hugely popular during the 1940's and an inspiration to a number of the legends of 1950's r&b. James Brown has cited watching âsoundiesâ, early music videos that played between films in theaters, as an early influence. Here we present part one of preformences culled from the film Reet Petite and Gone. The highlights include an excellent version of Let The Good Times Roll and a song by Brenda Richardson
