The North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS) is dedicated to the achievement of excellence in patient care through the support and promotion of education, communication, research, and the practice of neuro-ophthalmology. To this end, the Society sponsors an annual scientific meeting which is its main CME (continuing medical education) activity. Recent advances in the structure and function of the nervous and visual systems as they pertain to neuro-ophthalmology, its pathology, new therapies, and new diagnostic and therapeutic technology comprise the major focus of the annual scientific meeting and its CME content. In addition, the Society supports joint sponsorship with other respected and recognized medical organizations that comply with the ACCME Essential Areas and their Elements.
