DCT Gdansk is Poland's largest and fastest developing container terminal. DCT was the first terminal that attracted shipping lines to deploy direct shipping services from Asia to the Baltic Sea and is today the destination for the largest vessels in the world departing from Korea and China. This process initiated a split of the most important shipping trade-lane in the world, Asia -- Europe, into Asia -- North Europe and Asia - Baltic. Movie 'We are building your gateway to Central Europe and Russia' by DCT Gdansk shows the full development of two deepwater container terminals and huge European distribution centers conveniently located just adjacent to the terminals. The project is expected to be the biggest containerized trade investment in this part of Europe. With a total capacity of 4mln TEU, DCT will be the most important eastern deepwater facility in the Gdansk -- Le Havre range. A comprehensive network of intermodal connections envisaged by DCT Gdansk to Moscow, Kiev, Berlin, Budapest, Prague and Bratislava etc will enable fast, convenient and reliable access to the biggest consumption areas and production places in this part of Europe. This will ensure the ideal DCT Gdansk position as a true Central European and Russian Gateway.
