The NightCap was the first show made especially for a free-to-air digital channel. During an experimental period in 2008, 7HD would break away from its normal simulcast with the Seven Network to broadcast original content. Ratings for the program were never available at the time as OzTam did not provide data for digital channels.
The show was broadcast LIVE each Tuesday and Thursday at 10.30 and was hosted by Matt White with Paul Murray, Jessica Rowe, Zach Douglas and Monique Wright (Rebecca Maddern fills in for Monique in this episode).
