www.ecuador-wonders.com/el-blanco-river.html A jewel in the middle of Los Bancos! El Mirador del Rio Blanco is absolutely as unique today as it was when I first saw it 8 years ago. It's bigger and better, with guest rooms for those who can't get enough in just a few hours.
The real treat were the two Toucans that showed up just minutes after we arrived. A multitude of Hummingbirds of various sizes, plus one that was definitely NOT a Hummer. As aggressive and territorial as Hummers are, they did not get chase off this interloper!
The food was great, Patricio was very attentive, and we had a great time. We'll be back!
