This is the second out of 3 videos of my first storm chase ever. This also occurred on 7/10/08. With the passage of the squall line, I headed back north on I-90. I could see cumulus forming in the distance that later produced lightning. I stopped to get pictures of the storms, but the second I got out of the car, rain just started pouring down. I played around with mounting my camera on my dashboard (I plan on getting a mount for later chases), then I moved on up north. My portable weather radio stating that the storm had turned severe (spotter reported quarter-sized hail at mile marker 93 I believe). Met up with the hail later on. It was quite loud but it didn't hurt my video. You'll see in the video that the lightning was quite frequent. It remained that way through the whole storm.

This is the final video of my first storm chase. Here, I get the chance to see some tornadoes. Unfortunately, a few mistakes happen along with some general lack of a drive to get myself moving to my intended destination (Cass Lake, MN). I fled north but was delayed many times and thus missed the initial convective development, which basically closed the door on tornadic formations for the rest of the day as the supercells that formed in western Minnesota congealed into a squall line/MCS (Mesoscale Convective System). I made it as far north as Longville, MN, where my nowcaster said that I had a good shot at catching some action. I set up there and took the shots. If I had known that upper Minnesota was forested, I would have never gone there. I was lucky a tornado didn't come by, or I would have been killed.

First of 3 videos of my first storm chase ever(7/9/08 - 7/13/08). No, I didn't see a tornado, but I saw some other fun stuff. If you are wondering, I didn't go unprepared. I had planned a chase well in advance. I am also an advanced-trained Skywarn spotter. I've also seen a lot of chase videos and learned what and what not to do (doesn't say much, I know). ...And all of that didn't prevent me from becoming stupid and eventually jumping my car 3 feet into the air trying to catch up to some storms. This first video (7/10/08) is outside of Wisconsin Dells, WI at an interstate exit (I-90). I was talking to my dad when a bowing squall line came up. Nothing much but wind and rain. I have better pictures of the leading edge of the storm (shelf cloud).
