It was a normal moring in Nenene's apartment. Michelle and Maggie are reading books on the table. Nenene looks tired because she tried to write a book and tried to find Yomiko on the internet all night. And Anita was making curry as her sisters complained about it. Then Nenene says that Anita starts school tomorrow.

Nenene has a meeting with Mr. Lee and she has to go to Jinbo-cho. Worried that they weren't doing their job so they decided to go too. The catch is that Jinbo-cho is one of the biggest bookstore city in Japan.

After arriving in Japan to protect Nenene Sumiregawa from an assassination attempt, the paper sisters, Michelle, Maggie and Anita are hired by Nenene's editor Lee Linho to stay in Japan as Nenene's bodyguards.

Japanese author Nenene Sumiregawa travels to Hong Kong for a book signing coinciding with an upcoming movie based upon one of her books. When an attempt is made on her life, the three women previously hired to guide her around Hong Kong agree to bodyguard her, for they are the Three Paper Sisters Detective Agency.
