Powerpoint tips from Cattailstvhttp://www.cattails.ca/cattailstv
Hi, I'm Jack Werner, owner of Cattails Multimedia, and I'd like to share
some PowerPoint design tips with you today.
Lets talk about the basics of a great looking powerpoint presentation.
1. Select a plain simple background.
Don't distract from the stars of the show which are the words and images on your slide.
2. Use a large readable font.
I like a non-serif font for a professional look.
You can?t go wrong with Arial set to 30 pt size.
3. Lastly a good rule of thumb is...
to use your thumb.
Make sure your text and any images are at least the width of your thumb away from all edges of the slide.
Left, right, top and bottom.
This way you leave some breathing space for the content on the slide,
and the a/v folks will appreciate it as well, so they can adjust your projected image properly if necessary.
If you do nothing more than follow these suggestions, your presentation will be better than 80% of the stuff out there.
