This thrush was seen at Dreier-Offerman Park in Brooklyn. I was struck by its very gray face, , buffy eye-ring, rusty tail (that it did not pump) and by a call that sounded like "beeer" (unfortunately can't be heard on the recording). After I stopped videotaping, I continued watching it and it never moved its tail like a typical Hermit Thrush.

Ridgewood Reservoir is a 50 acres nature oasis located on the Brooklyn/Queens border. Unfortunately, the city of New York wants to destroy it by unecessarily turning it into ball fields. The video speaks for itself.

These two Sharp-shinned Hawks were seen attacking each other over the Long Meadow in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY.
