I just got an email accusing me of seeking growth because I hit the “peak of superficiality.” And observed that I live my life in direct opposition of everything my grandpfather believes in. I’m sure the email was sent as an attempt to help…but in case you are reading this. IT DOESN’T HELP. It is like telling someone who is out jogging, “Good thing you are exercising because you used to be fucking FAT!” Um…thanks. Who are you, again? This person has emailed me a number of times in the past and it comes from an address that bounces when I reply. So, if you read this: GET OFF MY BACK. You are taking my own self observations, applying your own judgment, and then serving it back to me in a condescending way. IT IS NOT HELPFUL. Maybe it makes you feel better. But I do not feel any where near the shame for my past as you would like me to. On the contrary, I am proud of my path. If being “evolved” means I have to hang out with people like that, then count me out!
