Evolve (feat. Heavynn & Kanary Diamonds) - Davenstedt & Axel CoonDirected by Ryan Phillips and Josh Guillaume Produced by The Paradise Collective @prdscollective The concept of the video for Evolve, an EDM based song from the German producers Davenstedt & Axel Coon, is in itself a representation of the visceral, edgy style that has become expected with the videos produced by the group of filmmakers known as The Paradise Collective. Evolve is a distorted look into the life of a secret Hollywood society that hosts exclusive parties in the hills above Los Angeles. The catch to gain entry to these private gatherings? You must bring something with you. Not a bottle of wine, not flowers, but a human offering. The psychopaths in the video are stalking and capturing these people to be their offerings and entry cards in to the party. Played by none other than the directors, Ryan Phillips and Josh Guillaume, and another Paradise member, William Golladay, the looks we get into this twisted, bloodlust society are incredibly raw and thats no understatement. "I was whipping myself and bleeding so bad after we had finally gotten the shot", said Ryan during a post-production viewing of the final cut. The party scene was meant to be more exclusive, like a blood thirsty established society with lots of society regulars there to view the chaos. The lights in the video were causing everyone on set and acting in the video headaches. "That aspect really got us into character and made us all lose our minds a little bit". The Paradise Collective isn't out to direct the next Disney Channel original movie, which is surprising considering Josh's decision to keep the video content more PG-13 than R. "We want to be those guys you go to when you're looking for hip, modern videos with fast cuts and progressive imagery that is becoming more and more popular every year." Recent works of the Collective conjure images from Rihanna's "We Found Love" video or even Taylor Swift's video for "Style".
