Hua Hin is a beach resort on the Gulf of Thailand that is much favored by the Thai royalty. Yui and I explore The beach with dogs everywhere and go to nearby palace of King Rama V.

Yui and I were walking in Hua Hin when she heard the Thai accents of the fisherpeople and recognized them as from her part of Thailand - Trat - on the other side of the Gulf - and it turns out they knew her family. It is always a small world in Thailand. The fisherpeople had to leave Trat because of overfishing and perhaps soon they will have to leave Hua Hin as well.

The best pineapple in the world and a floating lunch in the Loei province of North central Thailand. The raft-restuarant is run by the wives of fisherman who came up with the idea and received a "micro-loan" to set up the business. The food was outstanding and so was the view.

From a frozen Lake Erie to a sweltering Bangkok with some amazing views of Alaska in between. When I left Cleveland Wednesday it had been zero and then on Friday in Thailand it was 100 - a visual contrast. Music by Ivy.

Wat Rong Khun - an eclectic Buddhist temple near Chiang Rai that is the creation of Chalermchai Kositpipat, Thailand's Gaudi. It is just part of a complex of buildings the artist designed that he estimates will take 90 years to complete.
