Philanthropist.org Workerteer interviews Gavino, a Roofer in the Peuto Plato region of Dominican Republic. He needs a small loan to buy another truck and expand operations. He currently works with a business partner and employs up to 14 workers when needed. He also works in construction in the US 3 months per year, but most of the year he is building roofs in the DR. Often roofs are made of straw and burn (we met one women who's store burned from a thatch roof) - his are made from re-covered lumber and metal sheeting. A new truck is his greatest need.
