a missile Installation project featuring a 25ft 1980 Surface to air missile, coincided with the International Earth Summit in the spring of 92 as a direct response to the first Gulf War. The Project explored idea& surrounding the way in which we consume images of war, violence and dislocation in an increasingly sophisticated technological environment. The use of recycled military hardware brings into sharp focus financial aspects of the arms trade, where huge research and development budgets are reduced to scrap metal within decades. This super 8 film;Son of Sam was part funded by Renate of R+S Records, Ghent, Belgium, Juno Reactor at this time was a collective of visual artists, film makers, photographers, writers and musicians. Juno Reactor collaborated in a number of Installation works with artist Norma Fletcher.
