Laurie and I spent the entire weekend refinishing these floors. We started by striping the varnish with a very strong paint thinner. The next step was to sand the floors down. This is me with a drum sander. Drum sanders are about as business as it gets when sanding down floors. You can do a lot of damager so be careful if you try this for yourself.
