Spinner dolphins, in super-pods by the hundreds, are just one of the remarkable species that share the vast Pacific Ocean with the loggerhead turtle. The NATURE episode VOYAGE OF THE LONELY TURTLE, premiering on PBS Sunday, April 15 at 8 p.m. (check local listings), follows the female loggerhead on her astounding yearlong, solitary odyssey across the Pacific to lay her eggs.
Along the way, she encounters exotic reef life, evades deadly predators and navigates man-made obstacles. VOYAGE OF THE LONELY TURTLE is part of the 25th anniversary season of NATURE, the Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series produced by Thirteen/WNET New York for PBS.
