THE REAL IN FAIRYTALES is a collection of five short films from New York hyphenate Jadina Lilien, a photographer-filmmaker-writer. Dealing with the themes of love, loss, fantasy, and heritage in a city where the mishmash of cultures can sometimes be alienating, Lilien is able to add a sparkle of auteur magic and wonder to the already commendable performances delivered by her actors in this series.
