Italy travel: Pompeii is still an active excavation site, so there are some areas which are off limits to our Perillo Tours group. Only about 70% of the city has been unearthed (or perhaps 'un-ashed'?). The parts which are accessible to the public are well worth the trip. At the end of this segment, we see one of the oldest "welcome mats" outside the house of one of the more important people of Pompeii. The mosaic says "HAVE", which means "welcome".
