On one of the nicest (and longest in terms of daylight) days of 2007, I walked about 13 miles from my home in Clifton Park to the vicinity of where my daughter lives in Troy, near the RPI campus. Naturally, I brought my camera. Part 1 covers the first half of the walk, through a chunk of Halfmoon, crossing the Mohawk, a corner of Colonie, and into the historic industrial part of Cohoes.
