The Latin Alternative Music Conference engaged hundreds of participants, industry leaders and guests as it raided New York City, July 10-14. Throughout the 8th annual conference, the interactive Zune Lounge hosted appearances by major Latin performers, such as Spain's Mala Rodriguez and bilingual Latino trio, The Dey. Relaying the importance of the digital platform, Javier Farfan of Microsoft Zune participated in an exciting panel discussing the landscape of online media efforts and its impact for musicians and their fans. The conference concluded with a stellar performance by Mexican rock group, Café Tacuba, at Rumsey's Playfield on Central Park's SummerStage to much fanfare and support.
