Recorded immediately after the conclusion of the Seattle International Film Festival, "Indymedia Presents this week devotes the whole show to a review of interesting films worth looking for. One of the producers of this show, Randy Rowland, gives us his impressions of three movies that played in the Film Festival, as well as his take on Michael Moore's "Sicko." http://www.seattlefilm.com
The movies reviewed (along with the trailers for each feature) are as follows:
-The Violin--a Mexican film unlikely to get much of a commercial US release, but one Randy liked best in the Festival. http://www.seattlefilm.org/festival/film/detail.aspx?id=16911&fid=32
-Goya?s Ghosts--filmed in Spain, in English, it is clearly aimed at US audiences, with a big message from across the Atlantic: "Hey America, confessions extracted by torture don't count!" This was another favorite from the Film Festival and it is now opening across the US. http://www.goyasghoststhefilm.com http://www.seattlefilm.org/festival/film/detail.aspx?i...
