In 2006, Dr. James P. Harnsberger returned to Lushan, a mountain home to many Americans including Pearl Buck in the early 1900's in China. This documentary (in Chinese with some English) tells the story of the Kuling American School (KASA) through the words of Jim Harnsberger who returned to his Kuling home in August of 2006 and walked into the filming of the story. The Kuling American Scool members in the USA who still regard China as home and keep their childhood Lushan memories close to their hearts. Growing up in in the mountain resort of Kuling as foreign missionary kids in a time of great chaos, they remember fondly the waterfalls of Lushan, hiking to Lions Leap lookout, swimming at Paradise Pools and returning to their familiar stone cottages, many of which still stand to this day.
