It annoys the hell out of me when my significant other, or anyone for that matter, picks from my plate... even if it's only a doughnut and especially without asking. Anyway, this short piece is a project that I made for one of my classes at the Art Institute. The assignment required that a doughnut and a knock-knock joke be included in the scene, and the scene was to run no more or no less than 30 secs. Now, I made my 30 sec version and it turned out really boring, so I found time to cut this one, which runs about a minute and a half, and was so much more fun to work on. On another note, I was without an actor to play Jack and was forced to fill the role myself, which made shooting this project a challenge. Special thanks to Kara D. (Jill), for her time and patience as we shot this thing, and for making the process a lot of fun.
So, we open on the morning of Jack & Jill's 1 yr anniversary and they have just sat down to a breakfast of fresh & tasty doughnuts...
