Trailer: The Department of Interior sends the North Star ship on an expedition to Antarctica. The ship loads up the Snow Cruiser, which was sent all the way from Chicago. The North Star and Snow Cruiser depart from the Boston pier. The crew, in full costume, makes a stop just south of the equator at Pitcairn Island. They bring fruits, wood carvings, and baskets to trade for lard, sugar, and flour. The North Star crew also brings medical supplies to the Bounty Mutineers that now live on the island. Before they knew it, they were back on the ship and headed south to Antarctica. The water becomes denser with ice blocks and the mainland seems much closer. On both sides of the boat, one can see seals and penguins. An expedition leads to a pack of whales. After thirty-nine days at sea, the crew has finally landed at Antarctica. Both expeditions begin to pickup and head out of Antarctica. A heavy snow storm hits Antarctica as the ship is heading out. See the full length at: www.qualityinformation.com
