Kabaret Divas - Girlkulture's revue treats audiences with bawdy songs of Berlin’s cabaret-era and then moves to America’s early Broadway years. Featured composers include noted Weimar composers Weill, Spoliansky, and Hollaender, among others. The sassy Andrews Sisters trios of the 40's, the witty ditties of Porter and the cabaret-style songs of Bolcom as well as Girlkulture’s own rousing rendition of Kander & Ebb's "Cell Block Tango" Chicago all make for an evening of great entertainment.
The members of Girlkulture (Darla Wigginton, Lara Bruckmann, and Anja Strauss), having sung in theaters across the country and abroad, bring high-level musical craft to this compelling repertoire.
