Tina, like many children in Cartagena, was surrounded and threatened by poverty, drugs and violence. With few role models and fewer opportunities, the future held little hope for her. Until one day, a group of football coaches came to her village and offered the children a chance to play football in a safe and happy environment. The coaches insist that the children must agree to stay in school if they want to join in with the football training. The remarkable, much respected “Colombianitos” project is keeping Tina “away from a life of drugs and prostitution” and helping to create a better future for her.
