The ACC championship game between the Coastal Division Champions Virginia Tech and the Atlantic Division Champions Boston College.
Virginia Tech won this game 30-16 after trailing 10-0 early in the first half. The Hokies blocked a field goal and an extra point, which they returned for two points. They Hokies got a late fourth quarter TD to take the lead 23-16 and then Ryan threw a pair of late INTs, including one that was returned for a TD to seal the Tech win, 30-16.
Virginia Tech will play in the Orange Bowl in Miami on Jan. 3.
The Hokies and Eagles met earlier this season on a cold, rainy Thursday night. Tech led 10-0 with less than three minutes to go, but Heisman candidate and Boston College QB Tim Ryan led two late scoring drives to break the Hokies hearts and win 14-10.
