MAKATI CITY, Philippines--Based on government-crunched statistics, a Filipino family is poor if it lives on P200 or below a day. The Peace and Equity Foundation, however, doesn't buy the figure. Using other indicators like whether homes are made of durable materials and families have access to potable tap water, the PEF came up with a map that will show the government and other institutions who want to fight poverty where the poor are. Veronica F. Villavicencio, executive director of the PEF, explains the poverty map. Video taken by INQUIRER.net business editor Ma. Salve Duplito in Makati City, Philippines.
