Instead of announcement of the airing date, the official site released a viral video showing a live-action Haruhi re-enacting the Tanabata story. The ‘announcement’ made on Tanabata (7th of July) is actually an ingenious surveillance video depicting images of a school. You can probably guess who the characters are, but don’t expect to understand it unless you’ve read the novels, but I think that this is somewhat relatade to the second season.
