Trailer for Invisible Island which tells the story of Puerto Rican nationalist Filiberto Ojeda Rios, who was assasinated by the FBI one year ago on September 23, 2005. Directed and narrated by Ojeda Rios' cousin, Miguelángel Aponte-Rios, a Puerto Rican cinematographer living and working in Boston, the fabric of the film is woven by the thread of personal discovery. From the shocking revelation of Ojeda Rios' death, the filmmaker goes on to explore the history of the FBI on the island, the desire for Puerto Ricans to define their island's political future and Miguelángel's own torment over his cousin and his country. The film combines exclusive access to those closest to the revolutionary, newly discovered archival footage and coverage of events in Puerto Rico and the United States in the wake of Ríos death. At the same time, Invisible Island reveals the growing unrest in Latin America that is becoming more visible to the world each day.
