SLEEP is a short drama written and directed by Ian Cottage and staring Danny John Jules (Red Dwarf) and Josephine Butler (Lawless Heart). The film was made for the B.F.I/Channel 4 New Directors scheme in 1998. Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting) described SLEEP as a "big, searching serious film which breaks out of the genre and shows us where the new filmmakers are leading".
